Has anybody tried to buy leather bags from chinese seller during last couple of months ?

I bought a leather bag, paid to the Chinese seller and waited until the date that they promised to be delivered.. But they turned out to be all fraud.

I did this same transaction 4 times last couple of months from different Chinese seller. Quite strangely they were all same pattern. It looked same or similar group.

1. On one week before the date they promised it to be arrived, the listing of the item was removed like below,

This listing (000000000000) has been removed, or this item is not available.

  •   Please check that you've entered the correct item number
  •   Listings that have ended 90 or more days ago will not be available for viewing

2. If click "Seller ID', then

Seller ID (****) Not a registered user

3. There is no way to contact seller any more.

Anybody experienced this ?

It's not unusual for a seller to have several IDs, although most (like myself) do it because we do not want to mix wildly different product lines-- say bibles and brassieres.

However, some sellers are dropshipping, which means the manufacturer or more likely, wholesaler, has dozens or even hundreds of sellers advertising his products.

When one finds a customer, the product is shipped from the wholesaler's warehouse. The seller never sees the item herself.

While we spend a lot of time on the Sellers' Boards trying to persuade newbies that this is not a good business plan, that is not the question here.

It is possible that all your sellers are the same person or business. Or it may be that they are all using the same dropshipper.

It sounds as if the dropshipper does not actually have any purses.

Maybe he did at some point, ran out, but did not tell his customers (your sellers). This is all too common.

So.

The bags do not exist.

You will never receive them-- from Asia or anywhere.

Did you pay?

Were you refunded?

If you were refunded you can leave feedback for 60 days after purchase. The most effective FB is calm and factual. "Transaction cancelled after XX days. Refunded but unhappy." for example.

(If you can leave the identical FB for all four purses. This indicates identical problems.)

If you are too late for FB, you can leave a Response indefinitely to any FB the seller might have left. Again calm and factual is most effective.

At the same time as you leave FB, you will be asked to leave Detailed Seller Ratings. These are actually more important than FB to eBay. A normal pleasant transaction should get 5 stars. The lowest Rating is ONE STAR. No stars is a free pass.

Were you not refunded?

Go to the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page and open an Item Not Received dispute.

The postal system is quite efficient. If you have not received your purchase after 20 days (from North America) or 30 days (from overseas) go to the Dispute.

If it is too late to open an eBay Dispute go to Paypal . Their Resolution Centre is at the top of your account page under Tools.

PP allows 180 days for dispute. eBay only 30 days after suggested arrival date.

BTW, the first suggestion is to contact the seller. One email, which you may already have done, and if you don't get an immediate refund, escalate to a Claim.

Never allow a seller to offer you a replacement. It won't arrive either.
