Heads up- iPhone 6 Case listings are wrong (as of Oct 2014)

Just received a case for the smallest iPhone 6. It was the wrong size. Waited 3 weeks for it to arrive from California. The seller sent the oversize iPhone 6 Plus

The listing For Apple iPhone 6 Plus 5.5 Black Rugged Hybrid Armor Hard Case Cover Y Stand"

I'm guessing it a listing error with ebay

The iPhone 6 is 5.5 inches long and the iPhone 6 Plus is 6.5"

See this link from Apple website stating the correct sizes

Contact the seller.

Very few buyers ever find these boards.

Ask for a replacement and ask if it is necessary to return the unuseable jacket.

The seller is responsible for the listing, not eBay. He should be ready to correct his error.

You don't want to return the item since you would want to use a Delivery Confirmed service which can be expensive.

You have up to 60 days to leave feedback. The most effective feedback is calm and factual. ('sent wrong size no refund' if it goes badly for example).

At the same time, you will be asked to leave the much more important Detailed Seller Ratings. A normal transaction gets Five Stars. A terrible transaction gets ONE Star. (No Stars is a free pass.)

In this case, should the seller be unhelpful, he should get only ONE Star for description. If the three weeks was slow shipping that should also get ONE Star, but if the problem may actually have been delivery time which is out of his hands. Check the postmark.

Well, I made a mistake and answered my own question.

The listings are referring to the actual retina SCREEN SIZE of the iPhone 6 which is 4.7 inches and iPhone 6 Plus screen size is 5.5 inches.

Odd way to do it when you are buying a CASE for the outside of the new iPhone 6.

Hopefully others don't make the same mistake.
