fraudulent bilking of Canadians with the "global shipping program"

Why is ebay perpetuating this fraudulent bilking of Canadians with the "global shipping program" ???

Also has anyone in Canada complained about it , or is there any avenue of registering a complaint ?

Has anyone noticed how much hogwash they send while holding it back and delaying shipment ?

fraudulent bilking of Canadians with the "global shipping program"

It's not fraudulent and it is not bilking.

It is a Seller Protection program put in place to encourage American sellers to ship internationally.

It protects Sellers by ending their responsibility for delivery at the GPS plant in Kentucky. From there, GPS pays Canadian duty and taxes (and charges the buyer a service fee for doing so) and arranges delivery in Canada (and many other countries around the world).

There are two long long threads on the Buyer Discussion Board with questions and complaints. Most of the more recent answers are member to member.

At a guess, you are waiting for a shipment and don't know how to track it?
Well, tracking is for the benefit of the seller, who uses it to protect herself against phoney non-delivery claims but another poster made this guide to tracking a GSP shipment.

TRACKING SYSTEM FOR GSP
It's not user friendly... But I found how to track your package via the global shipping program, once it gets to Canada you need to:
- Log on to eBay.ca
- Under the My eBay menu select Purchase History
- Under your orders find the specific order.  It should have something like the following:
Estimated delivery Mon, Jan 11 - Thu, Jan 21
        Tracking number: Tracking number UPAAB000000#########
- Click on the UPA number.  This should open up a Shipment Details window, which should contain something like this:
This shipment has been transferred to CPC for delivery to the final destination # 70351#########
-Click on the Canada Post number to see where the Canada Post Tracking history and expected delivery

All that being said, GPS shippers have this
Customs services and international tracking provided
on their listings.
It doesn't show on mobiles and it doesn't show on Gallery View Searches, but it is there on the actual listing.

The best way to avoid the Global Shipping Program, which offers almost no benefits to buyers, is to watch for those warning words and not bid on those listings.
