I got registration email addressed to unknown person.

I got registration email addressed to unknown person from Ebay. I never had Ebay account before, so i tried to log in using my email address and it wasn't recognized. Also i was able to register new account using the same email address. Still don't understand why i got this "Welcome to Ebay" email addressed to someone else. It doesn't seem like spoof or and all links seem to be legit. Should i worry about it?

Could be someone trying to set up an account and screwing up the email address or something else.

You can report the email by forwarding the email to spoof@ebay.com

Generally eBay will address you by your own name and/or by your eBay ID.

spoof@ebay.com should help you determine if it is the real thing.

Some scammers have now learned to spell.
