BEWARE OF SCAM!!

I just received a private message from a so-called eBay member from Canada (not) with 0 Feedback wanting to exchange email addresses and photos in order get to know each other better. 

These scammers have no limits in what they will do to extract info out of someone.

Beware of unscrupulous co-called eBay members sending private messages on these boards.

I just reported my email to the mods and I suggest you do the same as only way to stop this.

Ebay boards are now going to become a dating or porn site if you don't.

I just received the same message. We shouldn't have to put up with this unsolicited social networking.

There have been a few instances over the years when something strange happens on a Discussion Board....

This is one of them.

New eBay  ID.... unusual message..

The object is to protect one's identity....and do not respond

Always be careful of one's personal identity on eBay

All I did was Report it as Inappropriate Content to the Moderator. 

It's not the first time someone with no ties to ebay Community has sent me some weird message. I'm sure it won't be the last.

Why would anyone want to befriend a grumpy old lady?

Maybe they know about what I have in the sugar bowl?

I also received one today.  Strange thing is I don't see any actual content in the email.  Didn't even know that private messaging existed on the boards.  Guess I will report it to ebay and delete the email.  Thanks to everyone for posting about this and alerting the rest of us in the ebay community.

This is not "social networking" this is prishing attempt in order to set up a scam. I googled the "name" in my junk message and it showed scam-only hits going back a couple of years.
