You don't have to go as far as setting all your feedback to private to hide your purchases. In fact, you don't have to do anything at all. I will repeat what I wrote to another user who asked a similar question:
Your purchased items are only viewable to YOU. Nobody else can see what you bought on your feedback page.
Feel free to check out my most recent feedback. (Click the number 88 under my username on the left-hand side of this post.) Can you see what I bought? Nope. Only I can see that. It's the same on your end. When you look at your feedback page, you see everything you bought. Everyone else just sees the feedback, not what was bought.

Don't tell anyone you buy on eBay.
Change your eBay name if anyone knows it.
ALWAYS log out when you leave eBay.
Don't allow eBay to default fill your password.
Change your password.
Ask your seller NOT to leave feedback.
Don't leave feedback yourself.
Most people really really don't care. You are just not that interesting to them.
