Any idea why a 60 year old vacuum tube (iconoscope) can't be shipped to Canada,. It certainly isn't a restricted item in my books but they seem to think it is? Any way of contacting them?

They might have lumped it with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krytron

Those are parts of television sets aren't they?
It seems to me that some vaccuum tubes contained heavy metals and that might be the problem.
