Seller says item posted, but does not reflect on eBay as posted

Why does it not reflect on your purchase list on eBay (little envelope} next to the purchased item when the seller claims to have posted it. Does this mean that he has not posted it ?

It probably means he/she has told you in a message or email that it was posted but didn't click on the button that says it was shipped.

Yes, they have to manually click on the "shipped" button to let you know it's been dispatched. But if the seller mailed it without using PayPal or tracking number, then that may be another reason the system didn't update it automatically.
