My parcel is in Mississauga and it says "shipment received at originating postal facility" and it's with Canada post and it's been there for a day and hasn't had any movement. Should I be worried.

Canada post

No.

What you seem to expect is that Canada Post would log every item that comes into the Gateway plant and every item that leaves the Gateway plant.

I seem to remember that Gateway handles in excess of 6 million pieces of mail every day.

Shipments are logged when they arrive at their destination.

Depending on where you live, you may soon see it logged in Montreal or Winnipeg ... or delivered.

But for the last you will already know that by the time delivery is logged.

If you are not home when the carrier delivers, he will leave a Notice telling you where and when you can pick up.

BUT.

Tracking is for the benefit of the seller not for you.

All the buyer gets out of tracking is extra expense and the warm fuzzies.

The parcel doesn't move faster and it is not protected from damage.

A Seller uses tracking to protect herself from phoney Disputes for non-delivery. She gives the tracking number in the Dispute and wins.
