I am new to ebay.and have a question.I want to purchase a protective cover/case for an ipad mini and the product lists a price in Canadian dollars and it says free shipping. Will I have to pay any duties on this product and if so will I be told the amount as i am checking out. How will I know if I have to pay duty charges as I don't want to be surprised when I receive my final bill that I have high duty charges as it might make the product too expensive.

Thanks,

Gord

What is the value? Any item over $20 CDN (about $18USD) is liable for sales taxes, duty and the shipper's service charge. Where was it made? Duty is not applicable to new items made in the USA, Chile, Mexico, Canada or Peru (NAFTA signatories). For the actual item look here: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/courier/menu-eng.html
