someone using my photos from ebay and using it on another site

I was looking on another online selling site and came across my images that I was using on my ebay listing. Can anyone use your photos without permission?

I did contact the person and asked them to remove it and they responded saying they didn't see any copyright on the images and thought they could use it

The short answer is no.

But start by politely telling the other seller that you do not want your pictures used by others.

If he is difficult about it, there is a sneaky and hilarious way of dealing with the problem .

Did they since remove and relist the ad with different photos?

Hello 'barefootwanderer',

The other seller may not know that using whatever pictures he 'finds' on ebay is not

permitted, so that is why you want to first gently explain it to him.

Note the first words about the policy are,  << eBay members are not allowed to use images -

including photos and other pictures - or text they didn't create themselves.>>

Not everyone knows that (although they ought to read up on these things before selling),

so be friendly and helpful before resorting to 'report'.
