why are the prices in US dollars when it is Ebay Canada? Final Payment is higher than advertised

It should be false advertising. The posted price on the listing is in Canadian dollars. Then when you open the listing it suddenly indicates the amount in U.S. dollars, and the payment is then in U.S. dollars. When I use PayPal, the converted US to CDN dollars makes the final amount 3.3% higher than the advertised CDN amount !!!!  THAT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED !!

These things are not set by the Seller, but are from eBay and PayPal.

When viewed on eBay.ca all listings are shown with a Canadian $ value.

Same thing for eBay.com except all listings are shown with US $ values.

eBay converts the currency the listing is posted in using the daily exchange rate.

When you go to the listing you see the actual currency the Selller is using (Cdn $, US $, UK pounds, euros, etc)

If you pay with PayPal, the exchange rate used also includes a 2.5% conversion fee. And PayPal updates their exchange rates more frequently than eBay does.

What eBay should be doing is using the actual PayPal rates for currency display purposes, rather than what they do now.
