How to search listings such that prices of all variations are shown/searched/filtered.

Has anyone encountered the problem where you're searching for an item, and search results come up, but the price listed is only for the most basic variation, when what you really want is a variation inside a listing which has more stuff in it.

When you select the option you want, then the price is no longer the price you saw in the search results which made the listing appear attractive.

Is there a way to force listings to expose all variations so that you can filter the variations of all listings for the ones that you want while also being able to sort it by lowest price?

When you are Searching you may be getting only the US price. Since we are in Canada, shipping here will be higher.

Is it the shipping cost you are concerned about?

You can move from the Best Match default to Lowest Price plus Shipping or to Highest Price plus Shipping.

In my experience, Highest is better, since it is easier to scroll down through a few dozen listing than up through hundreds to find your specialty item.

No. Neither the choice of currency nor the shipping cost have anything to do with it.
The problem is that an auction's search results show up because one of its configurations happen to be cheap, but if you're not interested in the default configuration, you still have to sift through them all and check inside each page what their actual price is when you select the configuration that you're interested in.
