Hi all,
Do other people find this? When you "Search" for something you constantly have to keep resetting the Search picks. The system keeps reverting back to the default which always seems to be mostly GSP and China. Annoying. Ebay's idea of "Best Match" but not mine. Does anyone know of a good workaround to make your own settings stick permanently?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello '...vivian',
<<...Does anyone know of a good workaround to make your own settings stick permanently? >>
Yes and no.
When you are logged in (you cannot save a thing if you are not logged in) you can set up a few personal view preferences.
There is a drop-down View menu near the right side of the page under the Search bar.
Choose Customize.
You can set up some favourites that way, - items per page, Location, and so on.
Be sure to click Apply Changes.
But you are right, -- if you do much shopping it will continue to revert to Default and Best Match. At the moment the only solution is to keep checking where they are as you search.
The other thing I do is have a Saved Search. Well, it used to be a Saved Search, now it's a Followed Search.
I frequently check for a certain item, so I have my Categories chosen from the Search bar,
my Item Location preferences from the left side, and from the Sort bar I have Newly Listed.
Get everything set up the way you want it, and then click + Follow this search.
Then, from the My eBay drop-down menu at the top of the page, whenever you log in you can start with your 'Followed Search' where the settings will be saved. Of course it will eventually end up on Default and Best Match.
Still, it gives you a place to start. Not much of a 'work-around', but maybe someone else will have a better suggestion.
Maybe one day we will be able to log in, choose search preferences from wherever on the page, click 'save', and have it all as we like for ever time we return.
Maybe one day.
