Where did it go?

For those who routinely share their thoughts on this section, has anyone tried to answer that question about being an affiliate?  I tried twice and as soon as I posted it disappeared instantly within seconds.  I was wondering why no one commented or posted the link but then maybe everyone did and some glitch has it auto reject any reply.

Where did it go?

I didn't but I noticed there were no replies when I last looked. And I cannot answer the question myself since I don't know much if anything about the affiliate program. I thought the member might have it confused with Trading Assistant but that was presumptive on my part.

Where did it go?

I had no idea what the OP meant by affiliate and had to look it up so I wanted to offer the link. My first guess would be the way someone might have a link to eBay on their own webpage, and my second guess would be those big stores that advertise on eBay where we click to go to their store (and make an off eBay sale, which seems kinda strange). Either of those could be wrong wrong wrong.

No, that's right but I don't know where the information for it all resides.

Where did it go?

Whoa! I just posted the link to you and again it vanished 'POOF!"

So that's it then, there must be something wrong with the link. I don't get it. It's an eBay policy pages link.

I'll send it privately and tell me what you think.

Where did it go?

I see that something vanished. I'm not sure I understand the reason. I vaguely recall there was a problem with some aspect of the affiliate program where it was letting google searches hijack something and then an affiliate website was making big bucks doing referrals to eBay but if what you're listing as a link is to eBay...? That doesn't make sense. Is there anyway to reach the moderator without getting into trouble first? Maybe it's an out-of-date link that auto-removed itself. eBay Canada isn't always up-to-date with its Help pages.

LOL! Trust eBay to write their policies in disappearing link:

It wouldn't be a moderator issue so on that score I'd say let sleeping dogs lie! 🙂

What happens if you replace eBay.com with eBay.ca in the link itself?

Oh wait, I see it now. That pesky View Entire Topic option plays tricks on me. When I get to my desk, I'll upload screenshots of the error messages I get after you post the link. Maybe that will shed light on it.

Excellent!! Clean as a whistle. If it is still in your computer memory you can paste it to the other user. Its the only way they'll ever get the information!

These were the error messages I received when i tried to click on the link to your new (vanishing) posts after I got email notification for them. Maybe the error number will make sense to someone.

Do you think that maybe Canadians are ineligible for the program which is the reason the link keeps getting axed? I'm trying to remember if I heard of other sellers on ebay.ca using the affiliate program.
