Combined shipping won't recalculate

I've been away from eBay for well over a year, so I may be missing something. I can't seem to get the "recalculate" shipping button to work on a combined order. It just keeps reverting back to the original cost. This should work, surely, but it doesn't. Have I missed something?

Okay, I think it might be because I made a mistake in the listing and put a "fixed price" shipping fee. Once fixed, I'm stuck. I think.

DON'T HIT RECALCULATE!

 It's misleading but it is apparently there for sellers who can't get the addition right.

Or possibly to annoy sellers .

Yeah the "recalculate" button should be called the "delete changes button".
