Promoted Listings Beta Terms of Service
Please note: Invited sellers must opt in to participate, by clicking “Sign up now” on the landing page. If you cancel your eBay Store or fall below standard prior to opting in or during the beta, you will not be eligible for participation.
Who’s eligible?Beta participation is by invitation only. Invited sellers will need to opt in to indicate interest in participating in the beta launch of promoted listings. Selected sellers will then receive an email to confirm their participation by September 30, 2014 and will be required to actively participate in the beta from October 1st, 2014, until December 31st, 2014. Any inactive participant may be terminated from the beta in our sole discretion. What is the cost to participate?There is no cost to participate in the beta. During the beta period, each selected seller will be allocated a free budget. This free budget can only be used towards the promoted listings beta service, is not redeemable for any other services, cannot be carried over to future promoted listings services and holds no financial value to the seller. Should the selected seller choose to spend more than the free budget allotted, they may be charged for the service. When is it?Beta participation will begin on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014, at 00:00:01 PST (12:00AM plus one second), and will end on December 31st, 2014, at 23:59:59 PST (11:59PM plus 59 seconds). •You understand and acknowledge that the promoted listings service is being provided as a “Beta,” and is made available on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
•As part of using the promoted listings service, we will provide you with the opportunity to submit comments, suggestions, or other feedback regarding your use of the promoted listings service. You agree that eBay will be free to use any feedback you provide for any purpose.
•You are required to keep all information about the beta confidential. You may not disclose any information about the beta or the terms or existence of any non-public beta features. Sharing information may lead to early termination from beta participation and may restrict your future participation in the promoted listings service or other eBay services.
•If you are selected to participate in the beta, in addition to these terms, you will be subject to all other terms and policies applicable to your use of the promoted listings service.
•At any time during the beta, if a selected seller cancels their Store subscription, their participation in beta will be terminated.
•eBay Store fees, selling fees, Stores terms, and Stores benefits will remain in full force and effect.
•Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay's minimum seller performance standards are eligible. Please sign in to My eBay and view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account currently meets the standards. If you have received fewer than 5 detailed seller ratings from buyers, this information will not appear in My eBay; however, you will receive an email notification if your account falls below the minimum performance standards. •If at any time a selected seller’s account falls below standard, their participation in the beta will be terminated.
•eBay reserves the right to discontinue selected sellers’ participation from the beta at any time or to end or extend the beta at any time.
• Selected sellers in the beta may choose to end their participation in the beta service by notifying the appropriate eBay team members that will be designated to them at the time of selection or by contacting eBay Customer Service.
