Ebay's defect system is ridiculously flawed

I sold an item to a user with no feedback. The item was paid for and all is good.

Some time later, I receive an email from ebays system saying that this user is suspicious, and ebay automically cancelled this transaction. This user is now "not a registered user"

Now I look at my dashboard...and I get a defect for this transaction. just wow. I get punished for a suspicious buyer, and for a transaction ebay cancelled automatically

You shouldn't receive a defect when ebay cancels the transaction for that reason so you should be able to get the defect removed

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/defect-removal.html

Automatically removed

eBay or PayPal instructs you to hold a shipment or takes action to cancel the transaction.
