Moving from .ca to .com?

Now hear this!

You will find that if you move your listings to .com you will have problems with your shipping section as CanadaPost is not supported there.

This means your listings will not be shown in any other country as you will not be able to specify shipping mode.

Ebay has not told us about this

Another major screw up by Ebay.

Moving from .ca to .com?

Here's a list of current shipping choices when listing on eBay.com for the Canadian seller
(who is shipping from Canada):

-.-

To the USA (eBay.com's domestic)
All flat rate, no calculated, with expected delivery time.

Economy Shipping from outside US (11 to 23 business days)
Standard Shipping from outside US (6 to 10 business days)
Expedited Shipping from outside US (1 to 4 business days)
Flat rate Freight

-.-

Outside the USA, to the rest of the world (including Canada)
All flat rate, no calculated, countries are selectable.

Economy Int'l Shipping
Standard Int'l Shipping
Expedited Int'l Shipping

-.-

A Canadian seller can still buy Canada Post discounted shipping through PayPal (assuming printing is working).

Moving from .ca to .com?

Wow, the most misinformation posted yet on having listings on eBay.com for a Canadian Seller.

Canada Post has never been supported on eBay.com USA.

To list on ebay.com USA, you use Flat Rate shipping with generic eBay shipping options for shipping services. Listing will be visible to other countries using these generic shipping services.

Canadian sellers have been listing on eBay.com forever.

Many posts on how to list on eBay.com in these forums.

Moving from .ca to .com?

Why would CP be supported on com? One cannot buy Canadian postage in the US. One cannot ship via CP from the US.

The appropriate method is to list on com with shipping from outside the US, It has always been this way.
