eBay Credits Sellers of Books, Music, Movies & DVDs & Video Games

Just received this a few minutes ago on my other selling account.

---------------------------------------------------------

As you know, eBay has been running a series of promos offering 5¢ Insertion Fees on fixed price listings in the Books, Music, Movies & DVDs, and Video Games catego...announced that this offer would be extended only through March 31, 2013.

We did this because of the new everyday rate plans coming in April that will officially lower the selling fees for these categories.

We know this timing created a temporary fee increase. As a courtesy, we'll be crediting you for the difference between the old promotional rate and the current non-promotional rate for listings during the days impacted—April 1 through April 15—until the new pricing takes effect. This credit will include any fee paid for subtitle for fixed price and Auction-style items listed with the catalog. You should see this credit posted to your account in May.

Then starting April 16, when the new fees take effect:

You'll be able to list FREE* fixed price or Auction-style, up to 50 listings per month. For fixed price listings over and above your 50 free*, insertion fees will be just 5¢ the Books, Music, Movies & DVDs, and Video Games categories. Also with this update, final value fees in these categories will be significantly reduced—from the current 13% down to 10%.

Note this is an official fee change, not just a promotion. Overall, as a seller in these categories, you'll see a benefit from this change.

If you're listing more than 50 items per month, you may see even more benefit if you subscribe to an eBay Store. Starting May 1, Store subscribers w...Fee Illustrator to determine the best option for you.

Meanwhile, you can continue to enjoy your 50 free* Auction-style listings a month, as well take part in any free listing promotions offered to you to maximize your savings until these fee changes take effect. Make sure you're opted in to receive invitations to promotions: Go to your Account tab in My eBay, click "Communication Preferences," and check the box for "Promotional and survey emails."

Please note that starting April 16, subtitle will no longer be free for Auction-style and fixed price listings when using the eBay Catalog in Books, Music, Movies & DVDs and Video Game categories. As a best practice, include unique item attributes (autographed, 1st edition, etc.) in your listing titles.

As always, thank you for selling on eBay.

Best,
The eBay Pricing Team

Thought that I would bump this in case some affected sellers did not receive this email.
