I noticed e bay isn't giving out selling promotions anymore

I noticed e bay isn't giving out promotions anymore like they used to, such as list 1,000 items for free on auction style only or on

fixed price only, etc. etc.   Does everyone else have the same problem or is e bay just punishing me for some reason?  Lol

For the last few years eBay has offered one or two "invitational" promotions every month, sometimes for "auction style" listings, sometimes for "fixed price (BIN)" listings.  Sellers are not "invited" to every promotion.

With the recent changes to the fee schedule, eBay may feel promotions are not as useful as they used to be.  With so many listings available on the site, there is little to be gained by eBay or sellers by adding more listings unless more buyers can be attracted.

With the new fee schedule, all sellers are given "free" insertions every month: http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/fees.html

In addition listing fees are refunded for "auction style" listings if the item sells and eBay no longer charges the longer duration fee for items listed at auction for 10 days (better change to sell if listed for longer).

A few years back, there were never any promos. Every listing had an up front fee, take it or leave it.

Withe the spring update of 2014, I surmised that promos would become more limited.

As Pierre states, eBay has the listings without bothering with free.
