I don't have the option to add a reserve price. Why not?

I looked through the facts etc and there is no option for me to add a reserve price. In the area to choose format and price I have put auction but there is no Add or remove options button. Now what?

Exit the listing you are creating.

It will be saved for later.

Click on 'Sell' in the bar at the top of an eBay page.

Select 'Switch to advanced tool'.

You'll find the reserve option there.

Keep in mind that option has a fee.

All eBay listings are Reserved at the opening price.

As in, no one can bid lower than that.

Many customers are turned off by Reserves, and will backbutton.

It makes more sense to open the listing at the amount you would be content to get, than to pay to annoy potential buyers with a Reserve.

Oh, and the fee for the Reserve option is not refundable, should your item not sell.
