Photos in messages disappear

Hello,

I am trying to access some photos received in an eBay message sent on Feb. 25, 2017. It seems that the photos have 'expired' on the server because I am no longer able to access them. In fact, photos I sent that same day just appear as blank boxes. Does anyone know if photos must be accessed and saved within a certain time frame? If I can't access the photos any more, does that mean they're gone forever?

Sounds like it.

EBay Messages are mostly for pretty ephemeral stuff, like asking if a book is a first or second printing, or for a closeup of a designer label.

Once answered, there would be no reason for eBay to spend expensive web-space on them.

I just checked my messages and the oldest ones in my Saved Messages is from November /16. It's my monthly fees and I save those religiously and have for a couple of years.

Hmm-- guess I should print them off instead.
