What can a person do when it shows 18 - 36 days estimated delivery in the listing, then after paying

What can a person do when it shows 18 - 36 days estimated delivery in the listing, then after paying for the item the estimated delivery dates are twice that ... and even some with the date past 60 days .. I've even had an instance where the estimated delivery date was 72 days ...

I take it that you're looking at items ordered from China, is that correct?

There is currently a major delay on imports into Canada from China specifically due to Customs inspections for illegal drugs. You may have heard in the news about fentanyl and carfentanil suddenly becoming a problem of epidemic proportions on the streets of Canada, this is that.

There is nothing to be done about it other than to mark the latest Estimated Delivery Dates on your calendar and file your Items Not Received claims (if necessary) by that time.

And if you need it quickly, order instead from within Canada or at least North America.

Alternatively, if the item isn't shipped. put in a Cancel Order request with the seller and hope for the best. They may still be able to refund your money so that you can order from closer to home if you need the merchandise quickly.

EBay only allows Item Not Delivered disputes to be opened during the 30 days after their last estimated delivery date.

But Paypal allows Disputes to be opened for 180 days from payment.

Better is to avoid any purchase where delivery is given as being over 30 days. That's long enough to wait.

Time is money.  Don't waste time in the hope of saving money.
