what OTHER method of payment can buyer use when set up with Paypal (and why should we?)

If I purposely set up Paypal as SAFE method of payment, why am I being told that I have to find another method of payment if seller has not claimed monies due to not having a Paypal account?

How else do you send monies safely for items purchased after the fact than thru Paypal

Who is telling you that?

Have you sent the email to spoof@ebay.com?

Some sellers do accept credit cards directly. These are usually sellers who also have B&M businesses, and those merchant accounts have been verified by their bank, so you should be okay sending the information.

We had a few customers (on and off eBay) who preferred to pay by cc, and who would send us thier card number over two or three emails (partial number + partial number+ expiry+ whatever you call the number on the back of the card).

Which was fine , but most, like you, preferred Paypal for its simplicity and anonymity.

Even when they had been in the shop and met our staff in person.
