Neutral feedback I just saw (not mine, I never demand feedback)  "excellent service but seller sent me 5 annoying emails demanding feedback".

It's a wonder sellers don't get more negative FB from buyers because of the barrage of emails that eBay sends to them.

I just made multiple purchases from a seller over 2 or 3 days and felt hounded by eBay for payment.  I wish they would let the sellers handle their own communications so we get rated for our communication and not eBay's.  Many customers believe those emails come from the seller and probably get just as annoyed with them as I did.

I agree...DO NOT DEMAND FEEDBACK.  Recently I bought a couple of items from the same buyer at the same time.  I paid my bill ASAP.  Then I got an email from the seller asking me to leave positive feedback if I expected the same in return.

I've already done my part by paying.  I am not obligated to leave feedback.  I love to give credit where credit is due.

To make a long story short...I left positive FB in disrespectful vain.

Be careful what you ask for.

Most successful sellers leave feedback when they receive payment since the buyers part of the transaction is over at that time.

I tend to leave feedback when I ship - it's much easier that way, and I don't have to send a message to the buyer about it.

Bought & paid Immediately for an Item this week.

Was left a message that the Item has shipped & will leave feedback when I return the favour.

Though this is a first for me, I can now understand how other buyers feel when they make an Immediate payment. Some mother's children.
