How to accept paypal as payment on adult only?

I have seen on ebay .com that paypal is offered as a payment method in the adult only section, how do you do this? I try to list in that section on the dot com site and there is no option to accept paypal at all, it says electronic method and that only leaves a merchant account or check money order. How are sellers accepting paypal and showing the symbol for it on thier adult listings? Also is paypal an acceptable payment method on adult listed items even sex items?I know yrs back it wasnt.

Send a message to your buyer when auction is over including the total with shipping and your paypal email address , your buyer goes to paypal directly (not through checkout) and hits the send money link , buyer includes total ,your email address ,says its for services or goods and not ebay purchases and hits send. Its that easy . Paypal does not knowlingly allow the sale of adult items but they allow you to send money. Get the buyer to mark item as paid after paypal transaction so you know when to look for the money.

There is a history. A few years ago, there was reason to believe that PP was being used to launder money, mostly through gambling (and pwrn) sites.

In a moral panic, PP banned using their service for most adult purchases.

It is possible that what you see is just the logo and not a link. As stated, if you want to accept PP for items listed in the Mature category you will have to do it as an "off-eBay" payment or use your own merchant cc account.

If any of your customers are leery of this, you can let them know that PP now makes more income from non-eBay sites than from eBay. One result is that the PP Buyer Protection is almost as strong off-eBay as on-eBay.  But most won't even notice the switch.

paypal.com allows sellers to accept payment in that category, paypal.ca does not allow it.  I'm not sure why it is like that.

Most likely it's because of the rules Visa & MasterCard have. I'm guessing that in the US they were able to get permission to accept credit card payments for adult material.

I'm assuming that Visa & MasterCard Canada still do not allow their cards to be used for adult material.

Of course the card companies are quite happy to turn a blind eye if possible, they like to be able to say they have high morals while collecting all the fees they can.

Just do your listing and include in the description that adult section is not supported in Canada yet or something and they will receive the invoice after.

Click "send invoice" and at the bottom left there is a box to tick where you put your Paypal email in. Click send and the buyer can pay, don't have to go into Paypal or anything.
