Do I sense....just a little.....sarcasm?

I know what you can do!  Send them a link to Canada Post and the specifics (measurements, weight) of the parcel.  I'm sure this will satisfy the potential bidder.

(...and yes, that's sarcasm)

It's one thing to perhaps not realize(maybe), at first that you're buying from a seller in another country but a totally more ignorant act to lecture said seller on pricing once KNOWING that I was from another country(had sent previous email). This guy KNEW I was in Canada.

Also feel free to BBL my latest wonderful American(see latest feedback replied to), whom cannot fathom that mail does not move on weekends or holidays and perhaps expected me to beam it directly into her "princess" hands, 4 years before she even decided to buy it and then proceed to personally then run down to VA and unwrap the dvd for her and place it into her majestic DVD player and serve tea whilst she watched it  :-p

Just tell them the truth. The United States Postal service is a Socialized service to the tune of - I think it is subsidized something like 3 billion a year by the US Government and that Canada Post has to at least break even.

Boy they hate that when you remind them they have socialized programs - specially the Republicans. It's like Commie.

Remind that American buyer  that if he were to mail that parcel back  to Canada  that the cost might be close to $25

Based on Canada Post Expedited US going to the US would be close to $20.

Now .......

Who is more expensive?

Use the appropriate example for your situation.....

What this buyer was asking about (a parcel consisting of 10 DVD's), would cost me around $23

Well you won't want to remind them of that being none of its true.  USPS not only gets nothing from the government, and  is required to be self sustaining by law,, it turned an operational profit last q (excluding the prefunding of benefits)

Whereas the postal division of canada post has been turning operational losses (excluding asset sales and underfuding the pension)

LOVE IT!!!!!

One must treasure those special moments

Canada post is doing a great job, with the exception of the prices lol

I have noticed that usps seems to be closing up the gap on certain prices. But not on our big problem, the difference between US domestic and us shipping into the US.

"Excluding the prepayment of benefits" I guess it kinda depends what you think is a subsidy. Me, I figure it is cause this was paid and it will happen again.

It seems that 2011 has been a year spent on the brink. Since January, Americans have faced the looming threat of a government shutdown, a national default, and now, the possibility of a collapse of the U.S. Postal Service. Last Tuesday, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe warned Congress that the longtime service was on the verge of default. September 30 is the deadline for the agency to make a $5.5 billion payment into a fund to cover health care for future retirees. Without immediate assistance from Congress, Donahoe said, the USPS could default on its payment and be out of money by next year, forcing it to shut down all operations.

yeah my latest feedback came from a US buyer who received the item within 8 days, when the stated expectation from Canadapost and my posted auction states Canadapost Expidited Parcel (5-10 business days).

I'm on the West Coast, and it got to the East coast in 5 business days....I would be impressed.

I wish I could control the price and shipping time, but unfortunately I can't.

Sucks to have to suffer the consequences of something that you have no control over.
