Canada postal strike
Bought item on Oct. 07/25 and paid shipping. eBay won't ship item due to postal strike. Is a shipping refund in order or do i wait until eBay decides to resume shipping through its international shipping platform to Canada?

·11 months agoThe (discounted) Canada Post labels are once again available through eBay.
They were always available, throughout the strike , on the Canada Post website.
You have the option of asking for the entire transaction to be cancelled.
Or, as already stated, you can wait for the last estimated date for delivery and open an Item Not Received claim.
But it's the entire transaction, not just shipping.
For what it's worth, I have been receiving mail delivery since the 14th, and feedback from shipments made during the last strike, although most of those had left Canada before the strike on September 24.

·11 months agoGenerally, there's little you can do about an order between the time you pay for it and the last estimated date of delivery. Once that date has passed, you can file a claim for a not-received item and receive a full refund. (You have 30 days from the last estimated date of delivery to do this. Given that your item is in the hands of the eBay International Shipping system, I wouldn't be surprised if that date gets adjusted when the item moves out of the hub.
