Cant get this highjacking piece of garbage off my screen!
Summary: leaky-bucket-labs expresses frustration about a persistent pop-up on their screen. eburtonlab suggests trying different browsers or disabling ad blockers, while flipistics offers a hard refresh or using a private browser window as solutions. femmefan1946 provides a simple fix by clicking on the grey area of the screen. leaky-bucket-labs again criticizes the use of pop-ups as spam, while marnotom! makes a humorous comment about popovers being like Yorkshire puddings.

It disappears.

·1 year agoTry doing a hard refresh on the page (CTRL + F5 or CTRL + Refresh Button). If that doesn't work, try opening the page in a private browser window.
Edge: InPrivate Window
Firefox: Private Window
Chrome: Incognito Window
Safari: Private Window (I think)
If it works and you can dismiss it there, then clearing the cache and cookies might fix the problem (keep in mind it'll also clear logins and any stored data for all websites).

·1 year agoTry using a different browser to see if the popup loads completely there; if so, you may be able to dismiss it permanently and then go back to your original browser.
If that does not help, try temporarily disabling ad blockers or popup blockers to see if that makes a difference.
See if you can dismiss that window using an escape key, or repeated tab keys to highlight clickable links, and then use the enter key to select a link.
