Ebay gift card accidentally went out of balance in failed payment. Nearing two month still no refund
Summary: frnie8908 experienced a failed payment on eBay involving a gift card and PayPal, resulting in their $50 eBay gift card balance dropping to zero, and no transaction on PayPal. Despite contacting support multiple times over two months, the issue remained unresolved. pjcdn2005 and femmefan1946 suggested contacting eBay through social media channels for better support. andrewlyn123123 mentioned facing a similar issue with gift cards losing balance after a failed payment. brettjet38 noted the conversation's age, and kh-phdan announced that the thread would be closed for further replies, suggesting starting a new discussion if needed.
I was paying for an item with combination of ebay gift card and paypal
and at the final process, I had failed payment
where the seller never receive the payment
but my brand new $50 ebay gift card went to zero balance.
And no transaction on paypal side.
So I contacted the live agent on the chat box
who suggested paying with my creditcard for the item and wait it out
the gift card balance will correct itself and come back in about a week.
Well, it's been two months now and I have contacted support team multiple times about this issue.
They all told me they will escalate the issue to the ebay gift card team and the matter will
resolve in about 8 business days but nothing ever happens.
I could use some help here.
What am I suppose to do now?
