·7 months agoIf all else fails to resolve this through eBay, you do have the ability to attempt to do a chargeback through your payment processor...

·7 months agoThanks for this! Many people ask questions here and never come back for answers. Hopefully this will work out in your favour.

·7 months agoCheck before contact the address that you gave- is it your current one?
Check the address where the delivery is purported to have made.
Remember these magic words "False Tracking Scam".
This is more prevalent in the USA because their zipcodes are very fuzzy, while our postal codes are generally a postal walk, and a carrier may cover several postal walks during their shift. (My postal code is only my block, the apartment building across the street has two postal codes.)
Remember that porch piracy is a criminal matter, but is not covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee.

·7 months agoThe phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options. Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

·7 months agoContact them through social media. You'll talk to an actual person rather than a (semi) AI bot.
If that doesn't work, file a chargeback with your credit card (but only as a last resort).

·7 months agoI can say with 100% confidence the tracking information for the item clearly shows that is NOT the case.
Can you please elborate how the tracking info that shows delivered is not correct?

·7 months agoBesides the fact that the buyer never received their item, you mean?

·7 months agoA buyer not physically being handed a delivery does not mean it was not delivered/dropped off. Without a signature option, couriers and postal employees rarely knock and wait to hand over a parcel. Unless I misunderstood your comment?

·7 months agoAnd I think most people understand that. Knock and run is pretty much standard practice in my neck of the woods, at any rate, and I think it's become more prevalent ever since the world went sideways in the first couple of years of the pandemic.
The original post on this thread states that the eBay bot rejected the buyer's claim of non-delivery stating that there was a delivery confirmation scan on the item, but the buyer says their tracking states that the item has not been delivered. I'm wondering if this is another instance where the item was being handled by eBay International Shipping and because this wasn't identified for the bot, the bot went with the confirmation of delivery for the hub's address/ZIP code rather than the buyer's address.

·7 months agoYour delivery guys knock?
If my office weren't right next to the front porch..... And I have frequently gone out at one a.m. to pick up my Globe and Mail, only to find a parcel from DHL or Amazon as well.
