EBay return. Untrustworthy seller
Summary: japresea_0 shared their experience with an eBay purchase where the received items were incomplete and damaged. Despite opening a return request, the seller refused to cover return shipping and blocked them, prompting japresea_0 to consider escalating the issue to eBay. marnotom! advised escalating the return to get a shipping label from eBay and assured japresea_0 not to worry about potential dishonesty claims from the seller. reallynicestamps reiterated that escalation to eBay should be the next step, highlighting that a refund is likely if the seller doesn't provide a shipping label, and reassured japresea_0 about eBay's policies favoring buyers in such disputes.

·1 year agowaiting for the seller to create a shipping label, but they have not done so yet.
If they do not supply a shipping label *, you win the Claim and are refunded.
You are not required to return the purchase without a label.
I’m almost at the deadline where I can ask eBay to step in.
Ask eBay to step in.
Attach the refusal message from the seller.
Should I be doing anything differently?
No.
Just escalate, based on their refusal.
what if the seller is dishonest..... tries to claim I didn’t send everything back?
EBay doesn't make any decisions about that.
If you return, you are refunded.
If the seller refuses to pay for the return, you are refunded.
We sellers actually get quite grumpy about this policy on eBay's part.
*or arrange for eBay to do it, which can happen with international sales

·1 year agoEscalate the return with eBay, get that return label, return the things, and don't worry about what may or may not happen unless it actually does happen.
It's extremely unlikely that eBay will take the seller's word over yours.
