How long has your experience been to get a parcel from the US through EIS? I just bought 2 pairs of sandals tonight coming from South Carolina to the hub, estimated delivery Jan 2/26. What has your experience in how long it will take. Does it really take one month?

·8 months agoMy last purchase was Nov. 20 from Seattle and delivered to me here in Victoria on Nov 28.
For the record, the West Coast transit point is in Vancouver /Richmond, and then has to take a ferry to the Island.
But in some 40 years of selling by mail, I allow three weeks for delivery in either direction.
Your Jan 2 estimated date sounds about right, especially considering slower holiday mail, and at least three statutory holidays plus four weekends.

·8 months agoOn average. US orders via eIS take 2.5 to 3 weeks to arrive. YMMV.

·8 months agoMy current sample (blu-ray set): Mailed USPS November 19, accepted by DHL ecommerce November 26, arrived in Canada December 2. Has cleared customs and is now waiting for whoever gets to handle the final mile.
So at this point, it's reached the 2 week mark with a good shot at arriving this week.
eBay's delivery estimate for this purchase is December 16 (so might beat that by 10 days). However, this is the busy time of year, so your purchase may take longer. Basically there are three phases: (1) to the hub, (2) processing at the hub and then across to Canada, (3) final mile delivery in Canada.

·8 months agoUpdate: magically showed up today -- no idea who did the final mile -- might have been Canada Post, but the tracking number shows as having multiple PINs on the Canada Post website (so no tracking available).
It was a small box and the outer label is USPS Commerial ePacket sent by eBay International Shipping.
Took 2 weeks from time Seller shipped. I expect final mile was fast for me since I'm less than an hour's drive from Ontario's import shipping hub.
