Multiple items stuck at eIS, is there a reason for the delay? | Buying

few weeks ago I ordered a items from the US that ship through eIS and all of them have gotten stuck at ebay's Glendale heights hub. item's arrived at hub within a week, but delivery date is approaching soon. Is there a reason why nothing seems to be getting updated? is it related to carrier strikes?
