Why are computer purchases in Canada from the US now being charged "duties"?

This is a recent change (last 6 months or so?).
Taxes / customs are still required of course.

·1 year agoIf you’re referring to items that are forwarded through eBay International Shipping, I’ve found that while the Checkout process conflates duties and taxes, the overall charges are accurate. Keep in mind that the eIS shipping charge is also subject to taxes.
