Hi there,
Been awhile since I've posted on these Boards.
I purchase an item that apparently was shipped to me and a tracking number given on Aug. 14Th. However, there's been no updates since that day.
I tried to contact the Seller just now but got a message saying that the Seller is not accepting any messages (??).
My question to you is ...can Sellers on e-bay refuse to accept/reply to their paying Customers?

Has that date passed?
Did the seller use eIS ? Has the tracking shown arrival at the plant in Illinois yet?
If the last day for arrival has passed you have 30 days to open an Item Not Received claim.
If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, delivery) you will be refunded under the Money Back Guarantee.
There is no need, besides ordinary politeness, to contact the seller at all.
And you have fulfilled anything good manners might require.

·2 weeks agoOn eBay, just like with brick and mortar retailers, you're going to get some sellers who will bend over backwards for their customers, some sellers who will treat their customers indifferently, and a few who will try to rip them off for all they're worth. Does the seller's feedback record suggest that they might be problematic to deal with?
As @john_koenig99 suggests, it's probably a bit too early to worry about your item, anyway. eBay gave you a delivery time estimate and what happens (or doesn't happen) between when you purchase your item and that last estimated delivery date usually isn't of much consequence.
In my opinion, the value of tracking has been way oversold to buyers, but if helps, try plugging the tracking number into a third party tracking site (I like Parcelsapp) to see if there's information on the item's transit that hasn't been communicated through eBay or the carrier.

Technically , only 5 business days have passed since 14 Aug, so it is definitely too early to be concerned, IMO.
