Adding a message option for eBay labels test
Summary: lotzofuniquegoodies shared insights from testing new label fields for adding notes to buyers on shipping labels, noting that including any text seems to block label creation. They mentioned an option to display postage amount on the label but did not test this feature. jtg204 replied with their test results, noting that adding custom text appears as a reference line on Canada Post labels, but the postage value option did not display in their test.
FYI for anyone interested>>>I just did some testing with the new label fields for adding notes to buyers on a shipping label. Adding any text seems to cause a block on creating a label. Remove the text (optional choices) and print label returns and functions properly. There is now an option to include postage amount to label. Unsure how many folks would or wouldn't do that. Did NOT test that feature. (There are buyers and always will doubt the quoted amount for shipping so it could be a way for your customer to have some visual proof). Many believe the postage is directly connected to the value of the item or it is some kind of grand scheme for sellers to get rich.

·2 weeks agoI've done it for two Canada Post labels to test.
1) Expedited Lite, selected custom text unsure what it would do so just put "Thank you".
It shows up as a second reference line on the label at the bottom, and also shows up when looking at the tracking information on Canada Post as "Reference Number 2:" (and Parcelapp shows the extra reference item too). I assume this is how it presents the other options too, just prefills the value?
2) Canada Post Expedited domestic label. I checked the 'Display postage value on label', but couldn't find it added anywhere for that service.
