Anyone experienced "Made in usa" goods being held at us customs or returned back to canada?
Us buyers are interested in buying some of my vintage / antique items that were made in usa. They are eager to buy them since the us de minimis doesn't exempt us made products either - I guess we're basically done with us sales after august? I just want to check if there's a chance of the items being held at customs, or coming back to canada just like other people experienced with their china made products. Let me know. Thanks.

·1 year agoKnock on wood, I haven't had any issues with anything being held back or returned at customs. This includes goods made in USA, Canada, and Mexico, shipped via Canada Post Tracked Packet. I ship directly through Canada Post using eBay labels.
My orders go through Montreal to New York, not the Chicago customs processing.
I include descriptions, 10 digit HTS codes, and usually place invoices on the outside of each package in a shipping bag.
If you're shipping with Chit Chats or Stallion, you can contact them or view their website for what additional requirements they might have for US shipping.

·1 year agoNo reason there should be a problem if they are made in the US and declared as such. I would make sure that the actual item inside the package has a Made in the USA marking or tag on it.
I am focussing on moving as much non-USA & non-China stuff off the shelf this month as I can and putting made in US stuff aside for later.
