Anyone with recent experience in shipping to Czech Republic ?
I have never had a buyer from Czech Republic. Curious about how reliable postal service is over there? A quick Google says "not reliable" lol so just wanted to hear from sellers here as well! TIA 😃

My friend who lives there says if it's going tracked, it shouldn't be a problem. I shipped many things untracked to CR but that was about 15 years ago. I also didn't ship anything of very high value.
I'm definitely not mailing it tracked. I might as well cancel and refund if I have to mail it tracked, as the entire sale itself is not enough to cover tracked packet.

I shipped once a 300 USD item untracked to Czechia (no tracked option available at that time). Arrived to its destination without any problem.
Just got a sale to Malta, which I also have never sold to before. I see that it's not excluded by Shipsurance so I'll still mall my item there (it's inexpensive so small packet air). But curious if anyone recently shipped anything there?

Shipped several items there last year - no problem. BTW, a nice miniature EU country, with a perfect weather. I even have consider moving there years ago... 😎

You may be able to monitor your parcel to Malta via Small Packet Air. There are some random Southern and Eastern European countries that will track with that service. Along with Scandinavia. Universal Global Tracking works well for that task. It can even send you status updates. Just too bad that they don't track for the balance of the EU like UK/Germany.
From past experience Spain, Portugal, Italy and Cyprus worked for both Small Packet Air and Intl Tracked. In real time with limited delays with customs status updates.

I had 1 several months ago via tracked to Spain. Arrived in a timely manner. Was there in under a week. Showed in customs. Customs apparently tried to get a hold of them...for 1 month. (Seemed like problem with address but address was confirmed/googled prior - Secure building). I wasn't really worried about it until I heard from them. Passed on the tracking details but they had no luck getting the item delivered. Item was eventually returned to me. (Fortunately N/C, 1 of a kind type item and was never unpacked/inspected). Buyer said they wanted item reshipped but think they wanted me to do it for free. Tried following up and got crickets. Last 1 to Italy was delivered in under 2 weeks no problems. From past experience shipping to Portugal is awesome. Even if it is off their beaten track.
Since eIS kicked in I had basically crickets for Intl orders. 1 to natuarally Spain delivered in 18 days total. 4 days to hub. 6 Days to get from hub to Netherlands. 2 days to arrive in Spain. Balance to get to customer. In speaking to another seller who previously only sold to USA they've had 3 or 4 orders to date to Spain via eIS so it is working well for them.

My experience has been the opposite, so far. A couple of recent sales to Italy via eIS and both were delivered in less than 2 weeks. No issues.
Have another one on the way (tracking shows it should be delivered this week; also under 2 weeks from initial shipping).
It might depend on the shipping location. Here is the route of my item:
1. Montreal to Milano - 1 week.
2. Milano Airport Warehouse - 3 weeks.
3. Milano Customs - 2 weeks.
4. Poste Italiane - 1 day.
I'm confused here. Are you describing a shipment through eIS or a shipment through the postal system? @john_koenig99 is describing eIS shipments, I think. Some buyers actually prefer eIS shipments over mailed ones because eIS shipments tend to go through a pre-clearance process that helps expedite their customs clearance in the destination country.

The above shipment to Italy was with Canada Post. I cannot afford eIS. For example: with ChitChats I pay 7.50 CAD for a tracked 200g packet (usually delivery within 1 week). With CP (SP) - 10 CAD.

I had a penpal in Malta a long time ago, everything arrived without a problem.
I'm... reviving this old thread by accident because I googled "is Czech postal service reliable from canada" and found my own old post 😂 I didn't even remember asking this 5 years ago lol 🤣
Keeping my fingers crossed that my parcel will get there just fine 😉

The worst delay ever? About 4 years ago to Greece: 7 MONTHS! 😅
