Are you a Canadian based seller offering EIS and your own shipping to the U.S.A.?
Hi. Been thinking about offering EIS as well as my own shipping option and would like to see how it looks to your U.S. buyers. I will log in .com as a guest and have a look peek. Thanks much. Enjoy the day.

·3 months ago · EditedI have self ship to US with Tracked Packet USA and EIS on most of my listings.
I think the difference they see when EIS is added is an import fee listed with the shipping cost. Some buyers may see the import fee and assume it also applies to the self ship option, or as the warning ebay gives that this import fee will be collected by the carrier on delivery if not using EIS.

From my testing if a seller offers additional services outside of eIS the ONLY way buyers will know is if they open the tab for shipping options to confirm. There is NO way to send a revised invoice when eIS is in play. I believe any additional options would show up on their invoice but below eIS. If a buyer contacted the seller prior to paying a listing could be cancelled and relisted without eIS. If you wanted to offered tracked/expedited to USA you could do so but would need to have discounted shipping turned off. (Buyer would see the level 4 discount without a way for seller to purchase associated label.)
As a side if you turned off the discount the buyer would not see the correct discount for CP tracked/UPS/Fedex for Intl locations when they are available.
My personal preference would be to offer eIS for US buyers and CP tracked ONLY for intl buyers but have yet to find a way to do that seamlessly. eIS may work wonderful for sellers in central Canada but works terrible if you are located on right coast. (More expensive x 2, slower x 3.)
Unsure how nicely eBay search mechanics work for where a listing with eIS and an additional service with either a bump or a downgrade. From testing eIS is the default service but can't confirm.

·4 months agoI do EIS for all non media type items on .ca and sell media type items(tarriff free) on .com with flat rates.
That probably doesn't help for what your looking for.

OP4 months agoI will rephrase. Is there any seller on .ca who sells to the U.S and offers both EIS and their own shipping? I just want to log into .com as a guest to see how the shipping looks to a potential U.S buyer. Thanks.
