Authenticity Guarantee Program
Summary: 30ranford has listed a hockey card for $425 CDN but sold it to a US buyer for $340 CDN. They were concerned about shipping it without the Authenticity Guarantee address information as they usually utilize that program for such sales. ilikehockeyjerseys advised printing the label directly from eBay and suggested verifying with eBay’s support if needed, noting that certain buyer addresses might disqualify them from the program. pjcdn2005 clarified that since the buyer is in the US, the sale will not go through the Authenticity Guarantee program, and the seller should ship directly to the buyer.

·3 years agoIt won't go through the authenticity program because the buyer isn't in Canada so you will ship directly to the buyer. Since the buyer is in the US they would not have seen the AG logo on that listing so they should know that it will be shipped direct to them.

·3 years agoI would suggest printing the label directly from eBay. That leaves no stone unturned as the address is populated automatically by eBay's system. You're not manually choosing the shipping address. Keep in mind, you may want to use Canada Post Expedited or Canada Post Xpress Post if you need insurance or a more reliable service than Tracked Packet.
At the very least, contact eBay directly using the help pages and confirm the shipping address. You can also use eBay's support page on Twitter or Facebook.

It might be a scenario where this specific buyer has an address that does not qualify for the AG program. The last time I had an AG order, they shipped to the buyer using Fedex. If this person is buying using a PO Box or Freight Forwarder, it is possible that Fedex cannot ship there, so the order won't qualify for AG.
