Best Options for Shipping to US Now That Strike Is On?
Summary: hold.your.own.media is considering switching to Stallion Express for cross-border shipments due to a strike but has concerns about their service, especially their US shipment process and return policy. They mention a Google review suggesting Stallion Express may no longer offer shipments from Alberta and express frustration over the lack of weekend drop-off times in Calgary. hold.your.own.media is also contemplating stopping US shipments until the strike issue is resolved. john_koenig99 suggests ChitChats as an alternative but shares that they have blocked US buyers until a solution for tariffs is available.
So now that the strike is on, I was going to switch back to Stallion Express, as I did for the last strike. I saw a 5-month old Google review for them that says they're not doing cross-border shipments from Alberta anymore...? Any truth in this? Anyways, Stallion's US shipment process is dogs#$% compared to the CP/Zonos process which worked flawlessly for me. Are they seriously the best option? I opted not to stick with them permanently due to the fact they have no drop-off times on weekends in Calgary & that their return process is awful. There's no great step-by-step process on their site so its quite a mess right now. I think I would need to go to their products page & fill out some form that they then take 2 days to approve for whatever reason. Very frustrating.
Another consideration is that I cancel all of my US shipments & don't allow any other US orders until the CP thing is resolved. Ugh

·10 months agoI've read in other threads that ChitChats could be another option for you.
Not that I'd know firsthand, as I blocked buyers from the US for the time being, until eIS Canada comes as a solution for buyers to pay the tariffs themselves (and not the sellers).
