Buyer forgot to add his apartment #

I currently have an issue that's new to me.
A buyer bought a DVD from me and I shipped it Via CP expedited lite with free shipping. The DVD is currently being shipped back to me because the address in invalid. They forgot to add their apartment number. They still want the DVD and want me to re ship it and add their apartment number. I think i will have to buy another label so that's gonna cost me money. What is the proper way I should do things here?

It's 50/50 you will have to pay return mail charge. Had 1 similar years ago like that with a new customer in a large apt complex. It got returned about a week later. As for the return rate, please let us know if it is charged. It will be either use expedited lite as per the ebay account or billed at the expedited rate.
Little suggestion if it is a newish account going forward. Pre creating labels, google the address and confirm what the building is. If it looks like an apt and is missing the # you can message the buyer pre spending your money for a label.

·1 month agoIf he grumbles you could very politely remind him that when a shipment is Undeliverable, eBay does not require the seller to refund anything.

Most sellers would refund only the purchase price, not the shipping cost, and would also reduce the refund by any fees they had to pay on the Failed Transaction.

·1 month agoIt was his mistake in the first place, not yours. Ask him to buy it again when you get it back and relist it. Remind him to correct his address before buying it.
After he receives the DVD, you can refund him the money of the first transaction.
