Buying canada post label on ebay with QR code
I've never used the option to print the label at the post office (in my case, shoppers) with a QR code. Since the label would be purchased through ebay, I wanted to double-check before I buy it. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Thanks in advance.

·2 weeks agoYup, just show em the QR code and let CP print your label, works great. I just let them scan the code displayed on my cell.

·2 weeks ago · Edited@lud-4367 Nope, nothing to worry about. Just show them the bar code (on phone or a print copy)and they will print and apply label on package for you. If you ask nice they might even give you a copy. Then they can give you a receipt for the drop off for your records. Make sure you have an address label on the box as well.
Printing at the Post Office
Create your shipment online or use a return policy code from a merchant.
Save the QR code or email receipt to your phone.
Visit a Canada Post location and show your mobile code so the clerk can print and apply the label.

OP2 weeks agoGreat. Thanks. Just wondering, should I get a second copy and put it on the back of the package?

·2 weeks ago@lud-4367 One copy for package is fine. If item(s) are going to USA I will include one inside. Just in case customs happens to inspect. Just best to keep a copy or screenshots for your records.

When shipping with Canada Post, you only need one copy of the customs declaration, as the customs form is integrated directly into the shipping label.
Customs Documentation Details
Integrated Labels: When you create a shipping label online or at a post office counter for the U.S. or international destinations, the customs information prints as part of the primary shipping label attached to the outside of the box.
Electronic Transmission: Canada Post captures and transmits the customs data electronically when you create the label, meaning extra loose paper copies are generally unnecessary unless a specific destination country or commercial transaction requires an extra commercial invoice.
Additional Invoices: If you are shipping goods sold to a customer, putting an extra commercial invoice inside the package is sometimes recommended by destination countries for commercial clearance, but only one physical declaration label goes on the outside.

OP1 week ago@lotzofuniquegoodies Sorry for bothering you again. I bought the shipping label with the QR code from ebay. I got the label at the post office, scanned it, and dropped it off. That was 8 hours ago, but the tracking still shows "We didn’t find an item associated with this number." Is this what usually happens with the QR code labels? I've never experienced this when I purchase the labels as "Printable label."

·1 week ago@lud-4367 I've personally never used that system. I bought a laser printer ages ago and do all my printing from home. The system has been in place for ages. It should give you the created (gave you the bar code) and the drop off scan. Depending on volume it can take time for it to get processed at your local hub. I would say, just stay tuned. The next update should happen overnight.
