Can I get rid of my tax receipts/supporting for 2015 and 2016 now? | Selling

I checked the CRA website and it stated that a person only has to keep 6 years back of tax returns and supporting documents, which would mean I could get rid of 2016 and back. I am not a very trusting individual and want to verify that with others. Have you had any issues with your tax returns further back than 6 years?
