anyone have trouble printing a Canada Post Tracked Packet USA label ? Buyer choose this option and when i try to print the label, the Canada Post Tracked Packet USA option is not available whatever the dimension or weight i choose.

From the eBay's July announcement which "should" have kicked in recently. Just discovered this morning. Will label charges be corrected to match? Anyone's guess.

Corrected/solved? Maybe? Seeing the same 6.51 this morning for shipping a tracked package to USA that was MIA last night. No clearing cache or cookies was required.

·1 year agoHow tricky. That’s up to 44% off counter rates on shipping in Canada! They are talking about shipping within Canada? Or they are talking about USA shipping? Where are those up to 44%. Or they are including the international shipping rates which are overcharged anyhow by 100% margin.

According to that announcement it is limited to Regular parcel which is an automatic upgrade to expedited, Xpresspost or Priority in Canada and USA Small packet which for the majority would not be using because of the current discount with tracked and then expedited/xpresspost in USA. Priority would be a non starter for most transactions. For giggles I checked Priority in Canada. The % is actually 23. The major disclaimer (above read) is the "up to" when you compare to counter rates.
UK for the same giggles the discount is 13% on air, 56% for tracked and 45 % for Xpresspost. To compare for Australia it has this disclaimer attached. eBay discounts applied without the %. (You have to do the math on your own. To see the % you need to add in a postal code and they magically reappear, same as above).
As a side unsure if eBay has fixed where services are MIA between properly displaying when you test with the calculator and gone when you try to create a label.

·1 year agoWhile the discounts are not as good, Canada Post labels are also available on the Canada Post site and through Shippo.
We also get a discount at the PO counter if we buy label there using our Solutions for Small Business card.

·1 year agoA little OT... I'd love a pet. But I sew and animals and fabric are not compatible if customers are buying the finished product. (No sense in trying to keep cat hair off of things, it doesn't work). Did have birds for a while... the last bird liked to chew stuff (including banknotes and stamps, keep them away from the bird).

We were only supposed to get discounted rates until June 25th. Maybe rates are just back to normal now.
It would be nice if they extended the discounts, but not sure if that will happen.

·1 year agoI'm having the same issue. Currently been on hold with eBay for 30+ minutes, the first person I spoke to knew nothing about it. I'm waiting to talk to another person now.

·1 year agoDon't waste your time on hold with eBay. This is a website wide issue. They aren't going to give you a solution. You just have to wait for it to be fixed.
Canada Post overhauled their entire system last week and eBay experienced errors for days. This is almost certainly related to that. It isn't something a phone rep can personally fix for any one seller.
If you have packages that have to go out today, and the issue isn't fixed by the end of the day just write up a polite stock message to send to your customers informing them of delay.
Then, if you receive a late shipping defect from eBay, contact the AskeBay Twitter customer service (you can create a generic Twitter, you don't have to Tweet or approve of the platform) - give them the order number and explain that you received a defect for something out of your control (you were unable to ship due to a site wide glitch). If you really want to cover your bases, you can take a screenshot of the order pages with Tracked Packet unavailable, but you really won't need it.
Customer service will then remove the defects.

·1 year agoI noticed over the weekend that Tracked Packet was experiencing errors. The issue on the weekend was slightly different. Tracked Packet was available, but it would default to the non-discounted rates ($17 instead of $8 for example.). If I refreshed the page a few times, it would eventually spit out the correct rate.
I assume that the removal of Tracked Packet is related to this bug. If this was reported to eBay, they may have removed Tracked Packet while trying to fix this.

Even if it isn't an eBay problem or vice versa, more calls, more traction.

·1 year agoSame here, no tracked packet available. Have to pay the extra shipping out of my pocket.
Went to the post office and asked about it, they told me that since the CP update last week, many things have not returned and when they inquired, were told there was no date when information would be available.

·1 year agoyup, but slightly different outcome for me. On Friday I had a DVD I was planning to mail to the US that when I put in its actual weight (138 gr) the shipping total was $21 and when I changed it to 140 grams it updated itself to $7.38.
Today it wants me to pay between $21-$29 to ship DVDs to the US that are less than 150 grams.
Naturally I went right over to chitchats and paid around $8.

Called eBay they said nobody reported it... sure.
I'll be cancelling some orders today by the looks of it.

Have you tried either closing your browser and reopening, restarting your phone or clearing cookies? The discounted rates poofed on me. Again. When I cleared cookies the discount came back. Could be similar/variation in play for what you are seeing.

All items were sold on .COM, CP labels were printed from .CA
Someone noticed earlier, that the items sold on .COM and .CA are handled differently - it's maybe why I can still access the TP service?

Is eBay looking into this? Unsure if it is at the eBay end for rating based on eBay account number or the system upgrade at Canadapost.
It is super critical if eBay is going to charge buyers with the discounted rates sellers can buy postage with the correct applicable charges.
I was able to create 2 labels last night no issues using eBay labels (after clearing cookies). When I check while being signed into CP unable to confirm discounted rates just now.
As a side this is the most up to date info I can locate for the CP Status page:

There is an open ticket for this under ALERT16036 for sellers can't purchase Canada Post shipping label getting error as "Please be aware that Canada Post is experiencing issues at the moment. We apologise for any inconvenience and if affected, ask that you try again later". The tech team is looking into restrictions.
