ChitChats US shipping - eBay dot com config
Summary: The discussion is about configuring ChitChats US shipping settings on eBay. Do you have your item locations set as Canada or US?
For shipping, are you using flat rates since ChitChats isn't available as a calculated service on dot com, and if so what are your strategies, especially if you sell a variety of items at different sizes/weights?
Any/all advice appreciated!

·1 year agoI am set up with Canada and I dropped something off at Chit Chats on Friday Tariff free and it is stuck. I don't think I will use Chit Chats very often. Not their fault, it is the orange man's fault. No action today.

·1 year agoThat's Sunday night... it should be released pretty soon. Some of my packges have taken 3 days to cross the border. I batch everything and pay attention to what else is being shipped at the time to get an idea of what's going on.

·1 year agoI'm on dot com still (now down to 9000 items). I have my location showing as Canada since August since I don't want to mislead buyers into thinking I'm in the US and then have to explain things like Customs and Tariffs. Plus they will complain the shipping is too high if I'm claiming to be domestic.
I have business policies for a shipping amount for each type of item I sell. So banknotes have one shipping price, coins have another, and I use flat rate shipping.

·1 year agoSuggest doing some test set up runs with chitchats. In other threads folks have reported requiring basically CUSMA level detail including SKUs and manufacturer addresses.

·1 year agoI use always Canada as location. I offer "free" shipping (all my items fall into 100-250g category). I switched to "free" shipping 1 year ago and I am quite happy with the results - no more combined shipping hassle, overpaid shipping refunds, etc.
