OPJul 10, 2026 at 5:31 PMNo Chit Chats is a Canadian company. A Cross Border Shipper who has been jumping through hoops the past 1 1/2 years to be able to offer lower shipping to the USA (and In'tl) despite all the tariffs, de minimis removal and now safety regs!!

·Jul 10, 2026 at 6:34 PMI know who Chit Chats are. I mean the CPSC Resellers Guide appears to be written for USA resellers selling things domestically, not for things entering the country. I suspect goods entering the country probably still need the product testing. Hopefully I'm wrong.

They (the powers that be) have a misguided idea that EVERYTHING that is and has been listed on eBay is NIB with instructions with companies that are still in business with ALL their ducks in row. Most likely NOT the case. A large % of items currently listed would fall in that grouping. This fixing/correcting/updating is going to be a major undertaking for most sellers. For anyone that was around when eBay misplaced photos can attest. Even the basic trying to confirm if everything you have listed as vintage or antique will be challenging.
IF eBay wanted to do something useful they could provide a tool that would flag old up long running listings so sellers would know what they are fully in for. They've provided this kind of error messaging in the past and they were doing it with required/suggested item specifics for the longest time.
As a side, testing listings with bulk edit is NOT the greatest solution. If eBay has caused some kind of conflict with their updates the ONLY way to fix a "problem" listing is to go in one and a time to pinpoint the issues. The issue is not always easy to find. (The reason I know this is because I have 50 +- of my own listings that fall in that group.)

ive yet to see what is even considered toys by their standard too.

It does not mention shipping done via eIS, so I assume they will communicate with sellers, in case one of their items fall into this category? In my case, all the games I sell are electronic and pre 2008. - They are also vintage.

OPJul 10, 2026 at 1:17 PMSo far, EIS to the USA doesn't like DOLLS even if vintage. They are being rejected left and right. Buyer refunded, seller keeps funds.
