Ebay is charging a shipping label fee after one month. Should I change the payout schedule?
Summary: lud-4367 has received an unexpected fee from eBay for a shipping label created over a month ago, prompting them to review their three-month payout and charge history. They are considering changing their payout schedule, which is currently set to daily, to weekly or biweekly to possibly avoid surprises like this. sapphyres-designer-jewellery shared a similar experience, noting charges appeared even after closing their sales and advises against changing the payout schedule. busybeas_books mentioned receiving a charge on monthly payouts for a shipment from April, implying that the payout interval may not influence when such charges occur. lud-4367 acknowledged this perspective, noting it probably doesn't make a significant difference.
This is two part question regarding to Payments.
First, I just received an email saying that ebay is charging a fee out of nowhere. I thought I've got all the payments and charges already. However, from what I checked, it was from a shipping label I created more than a month ago. This never happened to me, so I'm checking 3 month payout and charge transactions from ebay on my email, bank, and ebay at the moment. How likely ebay could make a transaction mistake?
Also my payment is scheduled to DAILY, and I wonder if this is a reason for seeing a surprise like this? Should I change the payout schedule? I mean, if I change it to WEEKLY or BIWEEKLY, will they send the payment after deducting shipping label charges?
Thanks in advance.

·1 year agoI got charged for two labels last week and I've been closed since May 10.
I think it just happens when it happens, I wouldn't change the payout schedule, you just have to anticipate you might get nailed for a label after payout (and in my case they charged my credit card because there was no sales).
